Juanito Calara Gozo

Juanito Calara Gozo 78, passed away peacefully on the early morning of June 2nd, 2016 while the sun finished rising, with birds singing in the background at his love filled home in Murrieta, CA. He was the husband of Adelaida Puno Gozo. They shared 53 beautiful years of marriage together. Born and educated in Rosario, Cavite, Philippines. He was the son of Felix and Serapia Gozo. He retired from the United States Navy in 1979, as well as the Post Office in 2001. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple and The Salinas Association of San Diego. He enjoyed dancing, poker and listening to his oldies. He will be remembered for his generosity, stability and outspoken personality. He is the backbone to our family bond. He is survived by his wife Adelaida, his 3 children Judy, John and Joni and their spouses, his 7 grandchildren Alyssa, Genelle, Branden, Jerid, Joven, Ryan and Gianna, his sisters Vilma, Aida, Elvira and their families and countless cousins and great grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Josephine, father Felix and mother Serapia. The memorial service will be held on Monday, June 13th, 2016 from 1400-2000 at El Camino Memorial Park. 5600 Carrol Canyon Road San Diego, CA 92121. Masonic Services 1800 Mass 1830-1930 - No communion will be administered at the mass. Interment will be held at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 1300.
