

Larry and his twin brother Charles were born on November 1st ,1935 to Everett and Genevieve Moore in Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up in Pasadena, and attended college at Pasadena City College and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He and his brother enlisted in the Army in 1954, were stationed in Germany, and continued to serve in the Army Reserve until 1962. Larry received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupational Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
Larry worked in the aerospace industry for thirty years serving as Manufacturing Manager, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and Director of Manufacturing before entering the real estate industry.
Larry married Peggy (Margaret) Jenkins and went on to have 3 children, Charles, Stephen and Cindy.
Larry spent his free time with his kids and grandkids and served in leadership roles in the Duarte School Board, Duarte PTA, Little League and Boy Scouts. After retiring, he continued to serve the community through the Elks Club.
Larry is survived by his brother, three children, five grandchildren, and three great granddaughters. They include his brother Charles E. Moore, sons Charles P. Moore and Stephen L. Moore, daughter Cindy A. Moore, grandsons Ryan Moore, Austin Moore, Scott Moore, and Jarred Moore; granddaughter Kendall Moore; and great granddaughters Violet Moore, Lyla Moore, and Madison Moore. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Moore Ragan.
The funeral service will be held on June 16th, 2023, at Noon at El Camino Memorial Park located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Road in the Sorrento Valley neighborhood of San Diego. A celebration of life will be held in San Diego following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project, an organization Larry felt strongly about. WWP offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans who incurred a physical or mental injury, illnesses, or co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001. https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org
