
It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Lynne Carol Tartar, peacefully in her home on Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents Dr. and Mrs. Chester and Berta Tancredi. She is survived by her brother Michael Tancredi, sister-in-law Janice, two nephews Ethan and Justin and their families. She is survived by her four sons Mike, Robert, Christopher and Michael, daughters-in-law Michele, Anita, and Iris and grand-daughters Dominique and Avianna. Born and raised in San Diego, Lynne married her high school sweetheart Kenneth Brown and they resided in Phoenix AZ. After Kenneth's untimely passing, Lynne, along with her two young sons, returned to San Diego. Lynne Married John Tartar and welcomed two step sons, Mike and Christopher. Lynne enjoyed a rewarding and fulfilling career in San Diego for many years and had many long endearing friendships. She will be forever remembered as always seeing the best in everyone she met, even when others despaired or gave up hope. She was extremely generous with her time and attention and welcomed many into her home. She loved to cook and bake and share her favorite recipes with many family members and friends. Her infamous Cinnamon Bundt cake has found its way into the hearts of many homes across the country. She had a witty sense of humor and an infectious laugh. She was an avid, consummate reader and enjoyed classic movies with her family. Her family was always a source of great pride for her. She was extremely devoted to her sons and grand-daughters and fostered a strong sense of love and unity. She loved to celebrate family birthdays at special traditional locations throughout San Diego. Her absence has left a void in our hearts and she will be dearly missed by many. The Tartar and Tancredi families wish to thank all the friends and relatives who were so important to Lynne, and dearly beloved by Lynne. To Lynne we say thank you for profoundly touching our hearts, and we say goodbye dear friend, sister, and mother. We love you with all our hearts. May God bless you and comfort you forever.
