Malinda Mary Clara Jaeger Hall, 95, died July 12, 2019, at Canyon Villas, San Diego, California. Linda was born September 20, 1923, in San Antonio, Texas, the only child of Edwin Jaeger and Emma Piske Jaeger. A long-time resident of Pacific Beach, Linda devoted her life to serving family, friends, and church.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Linda married Marvin Omar “Mo” Hall in 1943 when Mo was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. After WWII, Mo and Linda visited family in San Diego, decided to stay, and wired home to have their things shipped to Pacific Beach. In 1956, Mo and Linda adopted a newborn, their only child - Jerome Lynn Hall. Linda was primarily a full-time wife and mother; however, she at one time owned and operated a PB ceramics shop with her sister-in-law, Willie Lightfoot. Linda also served for many years as the secretary of the Pacific Beach Church of Christ. A den mother, Associated Women of Pepperdine volunteer, and sought-after wedding and birthday cake baker, Linda, along with her husband, enjoyed RV adventures in Mexico and throughout the U.S. She was also a loving mother, devoted wife, beloved aunt, and loyal friend.
She is survived by her son, Jerome Lynn Hall of San Diego, nephew Waidron Hooper of San Diego, niece Linda Hukari of Anaheim, niece Elizabeth Elmore Roberts of Magnolia, Texas, nephew William Pawley of Silver Star, Montana, niece Suzanne Lightfoot McNeese of Fort Worth, Texas, and many great-nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and Mo, her husband of 69 years.
A graveside service for Linda will be held at El Camino Memorial - Sorrento Valley, San Diego, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
