The best mother in the world, a loving wife, sister, and friend best describes Margot R. Medina. Surrounded by family, Margot, 67, peacefully passed after a valiant seven year battle with cancer. Margot was born in Tucson, Arizona. Along with her mother, father, sisters, and one of her brothers they moved to San Diego. She was married to Joseph Medina in 1982, and they raised two wonderful children, "Chatas'' and Miguel in the Rolando neighborhood.
Margot enjoyed working for 35 years at KSON before retiring in '12. Margot will best remembered for her compassion, her passion for her family, friends, and for her enthusiastic outlook on life. Her hobbies included traveling, reading, gardening, Faberge eggs, and going to the movies with her family.
Margot is survived by her husband, her affectionate children, her loving sisters, Theresa and Marisa, her brothers Oscar, Octavio, Orlando, Omar, as well as many nephews and nieces. For those who knew her, Margot was a beacon of light; she was so unassuming, sweet, approachable, a good listener, and always greeted people with a hug. Rest in peace; Margot, you are now in heaven.

Blessed are those who died in the Lord; let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them.
Eternal rest grant Margot, O Lord.
May she rest in peace. Amen.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
