Marieanne Boyd

Marieanne Boyd (née Delfs) died peacefully at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, CA. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the age of 80. Marieanne was born in Lake Forest, Illinois to Peter H. and Marie L. Delfs (née Miesch) and grew up in Wadsworth, Illinois. She spent many years living in Illinois and Florida, but found California to be her home. She was a graduate from Warren Township High School in 1963.

Marieanne found passion in being a hair stylist for many nursing homes in the San Diego, El Cajon, and La Mesa, CA area for over 40 years. She took pride in providing compassion to nursing home residents with her hair styling skills. She loved her many schnauzers she cherished throughout the years and took much enjoyment in walking by the ocean, parks and praying at her church.

Above all, Marieanne was a devoted family member and friend who always thought of others before herself. She will forever remain a cherished part of the lives of so many.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Lynn A. Miller, sister-in-law, Virginia Delfs; her best companion Nieces, Julie Delfs, Michelle Miller and Roni & Stan Wood as well as many additional Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and many dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Henry P., and Robert Delfs; sisters, Marie Madeline (Lanny) Field and Marie T. Miller.

Private Interment has taken place and donations may be made in her honor to: The American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
