Marina "Marisol" Luisa Osante Lane

On Thursday April 8, 2021, Marina Lane, loving daughter, sister, niece, and friend passed away at age 26.

Marina was born on August 14, 1994 in San Diego, California to Maria Osante and Trace Lane. She attended Stella Maris Star of the Sea Academy and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Marina briefly attended San Francisco Community College.

Marina had a passion for the culinary arts and could create masterpiece meals out of any ingredients on hand. Marina also loved flowers and enjoyed classes in agriculture more than any others. She was a gifted writer and enjoyed her daily journaling. Travel was something she enjoyed because she could learn about the world around her. Marina loved animals and was a gifted dog trainer. She was in the planning stages to continue her studies when she passed. Marina was extremely kind and giving, with a keen sense of humor. She loved all people and did not see people in terms of color, race, age, or gender. Marina was a loyal friend and looked for opportunities to help others.

Marina was preceded in death by her grandparents Marvin, Barbra and Ana Maria. She is survived by her mother, Maria, her father, Trace, and her brother Wyatt. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church at 13734 Twin Peaks Road, Poway, California at 10:30 am. COVID safety measures will be followed. A private interment will be held at El Camino Memorial Cemetery immediately after the mass.
