Marion June Jones 9/20/1929 – 10/1/2015 June Jones was born in Amarillo, Texas in 1929, the youngest of two sisters to Hubert and Margie Horton. June and her family later moved to San Diego where she met the love of her life, James Jones from Akron, Ohio. They were wed in San Diego at the Chapel of the Roses and enjoyed a long and happy marriage. June had a busy life as a homemaker raising two sons. She also found time to volunteer with various charities and civic organizations including the Lionesses Club of San Diego and was always there for friends and relatives in need. She is survived by her husband James E. Jones, her son Steven Jones, her daughter in law Ellen Boyle and here grandsons Tyler Jones and Grady Boyle. She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Hagy and her son Kelly Jones. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas for their kind and loving support. Services will be held at El Camino Memorial October 5th at 11:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amvets National Service Foundation, 4647 Forbes Blvd, Lanham, MD 20706.
