Mark “MMJ”, Leroy Morris McKahan-Jones, of Carlsbad, CA was born on July 21, 1955 in London, England, to the late Lillian Jones and the late Cecil Jones, passed away at age 63 on November 5, 2018. Mark was the loving husband of Jane McKahan-Jones. He is survived by his son, Griffin Jones; daughter, Alexis Klein; and brother, Keith Jones.
The son of an Air Force Intelligence officer, Mark spent his early years in London, Paris, Louisiana and Oklahoma, then finally spending his high school and college years in Hawaii.
From 1974 to 1980, Mark served in the Air Force. Known as a talented sales leader, and possessing a legendary sense of humor, Mark led his organizations to success in the hot tub, solar power and battery power industries.
Mark was an accomplished rock and roll guitarist, who played in rock bands in his 20’s and 30's. His love of music was a fabric of his life. He also relished in being near the ocean, driving his beloved Audi sports car, anything science fiction, engaging political conversations, and working in the yard.
Those who wish may donate in Mark's name, can visit the Pacifica Hospice House of Carlsbad, CA at hospicenorthcoast.org. A celebration of life will be private. Mark will be laid to rest at El Camino Memorial in San Diego, CA.
