

Marvin Ray Price, Sr. was born on April 8, 1959 in San Diego, California and was the eldest of eight children. As the oldest child, Marvin served as a guide and example to his younger siblings and was very protective of them. Marvin attended Baker Elementary School, Gompers Junior High School and Abraham Lincoln Senior High School.
Marvin loved playing sports and watching sporting events. He played baseball with the Southeastern Little League and Jackie Robinson Pony League he also played football while attending Lincoln High School.
Marvin had several passions he enjoyed collecting unique firearms and belonged to a Low Rider Car Club as a young adult. He aspired to have a career in Law Enforcement and attended the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Police Academy and in 2003 he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Chapman University.
In 1984, Marvin met and married Willie Faye Ponder two children were born to their union a son Marvin Ray Price, Jr., and a daughter Kyndall Nicole Price. Marvin loved his family and did his best to provide and protect them. Marvin and Faye shared many interests, but attending jazz concerts and road trips to Las Vegas was the one of these two activities he enjoyed most. Marvin was employed with the City of San Diego before leaving due to disability. He was also employed with the County of Riverside as an Environmental Health Technician for several years. Marvin attended Bayview Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Timothy J. Winters.
He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Irma Bell, Grandfather Frank Johnson and Father Richard E. Price, and leaves to cherish his memories his wife Willie Faye Ponder-Price, son Marvin Ray Price, Jr., daughter Kyndall Nicole Price, granddaughter Trinity Joy Price, grandson Riley Bryant Foster, his mother Dorothy Stokes-Harris, brothers Darnell, Vernell, and Christopher Price and Aaron Sharpe, sisters Richaelle Smith, Bertha Price and Phyllis Sharpe.
