Melvin Stewart Killebrew

June 21, 1948 ~ June 19th, 2017

Mel passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2017 at the age of 68yrs young- Mel was born and rasied in San Diego, Ca. After serving time in the Army, over in Vietnam, he came home with Medals of honor. He was proud to have served his country. He then met the love of his life Deborah Killebrew and they built a beautiful life together.

Mel was a hard working man, he loved working along side his brother and son. Mel was in the roofing industry since 1972. As he would point out, they roofed most of San Diego.

Mel would give you the shirt off his back, his heart full of love, givingness and the desire to help others and he didn’t ask for anything in return. He always saw the best in everyone he met. His love and devotion to his family is incermountable and he will be dearly missed. Mel was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Killebrew, their 3 children, Christian Killebrew, Sharmane Lukasik and Deeann Killebrew. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and his mother Vida Mae “Rusty” Kracher. He has now been reunited with his father and sister. May he rest in peace.

Service’s will be held on Wednesday July 5th, 2017 at 9am
