Our family is saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Michael (Mike) John Carew, age 77, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Anyone who knew Mike knew he was incredibly kind hearted and a man of faith. He enjoyed surfing, playing softball, spending time with his family and photography. Mike lived a full and happy life. He is survived by his two daughters, four grandchildren, son-in-law and grandson-in-law. Mikes family and friends will miss him more than words can say.
Contributions in memory of Mike or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause he cared deeply about. No services will be held and his family will be scattering his ashes at a spot that was meaningful to him as requested by Mike.
We love you dad/grandpa. Thank you for everything.
