

Shortly after they moved to Old Town and Ofelia attended Fremont elementary where she made life long friendships.
In 1937 the family moved to Pacific Beach where she studied at P.B. Junior High School and graduated from La Jolla High School (class of 1944).
Ofelia came from a large family, two brothers and 6 other sisters. During the war years, family and friends would regularly go dancing to big bands at the Pacific Square Ballroom and dance the night away.
Ofelia met her husband to be at the C.Y.O. in Logan Heights. Louis and Ofelia were married at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Sept 5th, 1948. She has a son Louis Anthony (wife Judy) and grandchildren Louis, Jonathan (Nisha) and Danielle, and great granddaughter Alexis.
She was a volunteer at Alvarado Hospital and she was so happy to help and sympathize with patient’s families. She was always groomed impeccably for every day of service.
She loved her church, her husband ,her family, and forever her Padres.
A committal service for Ofelia will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Dr., San Diego, CA 92122.
