Patricia Ann Souza

April 15, 1937 - October 2, 2025

Pat passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 2, 2025. Pat was born in Taunton, MA and grew up in Merced, CA. She married the love of her life, Edward A. Souza, in June 1953 and moved to San Diego. She spent the next 72 years building a life and a strong family. Pat is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward, parents Joseph and Margaret Baptista, and sister Florence Faria.

Pat had a career as a medical office administrator but first and foremost a homemaker to her 5 children, Kathy Lamprides (Mike), Joann Hatch (George), Eddie Jr., Sandy Jauregui and Christine Moses (Will)); and then graduated to “Grammie” (aka Lollie) to 12 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren, and a great-grandbaby on the way.

Our Mom and Grammie will be deeply missed. She was the pillar of our family and always a phone call away. There was not a holiday or gathering missed. With her cooking savvy and generosity there was always an incredible family event to be enjoyed and remembered. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage which she instilled in her family. She was also a dedicated parishioner of Our Mother of Confidence Catholic Church.

The family thanks Suncrest Hospice for their exceptional care and support. With special thanks to Leslie, Mikaela, Bailey, Dondra, Alex, Kenny, Gin, and our personal caregiver, Patricia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and especially doing good deeds for others who are in need.
