Ruth is survived by her daughter Lynn Suszko-Capitos (m. Gary Capitos); and her daughter Kiersten Suszko; her brother Michael Robert Brewer, her brother Daniel Patrick Brewer and her brother Joseph Martin Brewer; her cousin Patty Lou Gillette, her cousin Mary Murphy and her goddaughter Alexandra Teresa Murphy.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Richard James Suszko; her son James Suszko; her mother Frances Catherine Martin-Brewer and her father James Edward Brewer, Jr.; her brother James Edward Brewer, III; her sister Mary Susan Brewer-Williams and her sister Kathleen Brewer-Mahon-Howe; her cousin Georgene Murphy, and her cousin Teresa Murphy.
