On a beautiful Sunday morning, our beloved Sandra left this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless spirit that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was born in San Francisco on February 11, 1962, to Esther and Laurence Mahan, and grew up alongside her siblings: Wayne, Mark, Jackie, and Erik.
In 1979, she married the love of her life, Salvador Lopez. Together they shared over four decades of adventures, a passion for travel, and countless movie nights. Their bond was playful and strong, filled with long scenic walks, and spirited backgammon matches that often ended in playful banter. Some of Sandra’s favorite mornings were spent waking up beside Salvador, hearing him say, “It’s a wonderful day in paradise,” words that always put a smile on her face.
She had a lifelong love for skincare and pursued her calling as a trained esthetician, treating her clients with care and kindness as if they were part of her own family. Her passion for health and fitness inspired those around her, and she was truly a force of strength and dedication.
Above all, family was her greatest joy. She was the proud mother of three children: Sal, Lauren, and Amanda, who were her whole world. In recent years, she embraced her most cherished role yet, being “Gigi” to her grandson and light of her life, Luca.
Her heart, her laughter, and her unwavering love will be missed beyond measure. She leaves behind not only her family but also a community of friends and loved ones who were brightened by her presence.
Sandra’s greatest legacy is the family she cherished. Through them, her spirit will continue to inspire us all to live with love, unwavering resilience, and joy.
