Ruben, as he was known to friends and family was one of 11 children. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on February 1, 1948, to his parents Aleja and Servando, and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of 30, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served for 10 years and received an honorable discharge. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Robyn Rosario, his children Jeannette Rosario, Servando Ruben Rosario III, Rhonda Williams, Patrick Weber, Tracey Weber, and Danae Hollis. He was a loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ruben was the loving center of his family; a devoted husband, loving grandfather, caring friend, and a faithful servant of the Lord. He was gifted artistically and a talented craftsman with a passion for listening to Salsa music and playing the congas. His sense of humor could bring about laughter with anyone he encountered. A student of life and faith with a congenial nature Ruben radiated into his family and friends' lives offering gifts of knowledge and guidance. He will be sorely missed.
