After a protracted battle with cancer, Shirley Valdez Geronimo was called away by angels to be with the LORD on August 9, 2015 in San Diego, CA at the age of 60. She leaves behind her sons, Lester and Ryan. Shirley was born on September 17, 1954 in Zambales, Philippines, to father Sergio Corpuz Domingo and mother Evangeline Valdez Domingo, who predeceased her. She grew up with two sisters, Gail and Debbie, and brother Gary. Shirley was a Registered Nurse with a love of gardening, travelling, sewing, and spending time with family and friends. When diagnosed with cancer in 2001, she remained dedicated in her work and in her will to fight her illness. She remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final moments. Shirley is survived by her two sons and their wives; as well as her two sisters and brother, numerous nieces and nephews, including six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Shirley will be buried at Green Hills Memorial Park located at 27501 Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015.
