Sidney Wagner

On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Sidney Wagner, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 104. Sidney was born in Detroit, Michigan, but he found his greatest love in California. Sidney swept his girl, Anita, right off her feet and on April 24, 1941, they were married. They raised three wonderful children, Joni, Sally and Gary, and celebrated 80 years of marriage.

Sidney was an extraordinary man – in so many ways. He was an exceptional businessman with unbeatable intellect, passion and charm. He worked hard from a young age with uncompromised integrity and commitment to grow a successful hotel business enterprise. He was a loyal Detroit Lions fan and a mentor to many. But the success of which he was most proud was his family. He was devoted and remained young at heart to foster the love they all share. He truly loved his family, and his family will always love him.

He will now join other loved ones including his wife, Anita and their daughter, Sally. Sidney is survived by his children, Joni Pick and Gary Wagner, and his grandchildren, Lisa Pick, Kathy Gerber, Jill McLaughlin and Craig Aaron and 8 great-grandchildren who love him deeply.

There will be a private graveside service in the presence of his family.
