

Victorio Padlan Fermin, 75, of San Carlos, Philippines, died September 26, 2020, in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on March 25, 1945 to Olimpia Padlan Fermin in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, with one sister, Carmelita Meneses Magat. There, he met and fell in love with Norma De Vera Fermin. They were married for fifty years and just recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary last December 30, 2019 in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines surrounded by family and friends. They had three children, Maria Cherie Williams, Michael Ritche Fermin, and Anthony Cesar Fermin.
He attended the University of the Philippines in Diliman graduating in 1969 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology. He worked as a geologist for various mining and geological companies. He was able to work and visit various places in the Philippines in search of gold and other raw materials. When he moved to the US in the late 1990’s, he enjoyed working in the hospitality industry in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He was known as a conscientious, dependable and hard-working, who was always on time, or will show up earlier than anyone.
Vic was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, and uncle, excited Lolo and was a humble, kind and gentle man to everyone. He always put others before himself and had a strong faith in God. He treated Norma like a “queen”, valued his children and family’s happiness over his own, and always brightened up when he talked about his grandson, Elias Khalil Fermin.
He enjoyed watching TV and movies with his family and travelling to his dream destinations including Europe, Southeast Asia, Egypt, and Israel. He enjoyed driving to various places, studying the Bible intently, and playing with his grandson, Elias. Most people remember him fondly as a quiet, peaceful but joyful person who always expressed positive and encouraging words to everyone.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, his children, Cherie and Bryan, Ritche and Rachael, Anthony, grandchild Elias, his sister, Carmelita Magat and her family, numerous nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren whom he loved very much and who will miss him so dearly.
