

Virgilio N. Presto of San Diego, CA, passed away the 1st of October 2021. He was 79 years old. Virgilio spent his younger years in San Quintin, Pangasinan, Philippines where he was born on the 27th of November 1941. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Manila Central University, he served in the United States Navy which opened an opportunity for him to relocate to the United States. After 21 years and 7 months of military service, Virgilio continued working as a civilian in the phlebotomy profession before retiring in 2016. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Virgilio loved his family dearly and sacrificed so much to ensure their security, happiness and well-being. He enjoyed family get-togethers, fishing, fixing cars, collecting hats, gardening, reading, and providing guidance to his children, grandchildren and to countless friends and loved ones. Virgilio also enjoyed watching movies, listening to music, singing and worshipping God.
Virgilio was the beloved husband of 51 years to Araceli M. Presto and a devoted father to 4 children, Marie Joy, Liza Marie, Jonathan and Marie Lynn. He was also a proud grandfather to 6 grandchildren, Melisa, Aileen, Alexis, Alyssa, Kristin and Amberlyn, as well as a great-grandfather to Allison. Virgilio was the loving son of late Marcelino Presto and late Maria Presto. Virgilio also leaves behind 5 siblings, Angie, Epifanio, Flor, Lydia and Alex.
Viewing will be held at the El Camino Memorial Chapel-Sorrento Valley on Thursday October 14th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The final viewing and funeral service will be held at the El Camino Memorial Chapel on Friday October 15th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
