W. Joseph Blood Sr. passed away peacefully on January 9. 2015 at his home in La Jolla. Born the 24th of May 1925 in Erie, Pa. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Mr. Blood was the Chairman and President of Johnston Pump/General Valve ,Inc. in Brookshire, Texas. He was actively involved in University of Pennsylvania athletics as a baseball and basketball player and Alumni booster. He is survived by his wife, Brigitte and his sons Joe Jr., John, Bryan and their families. His stepdaughter Elizabeth Wulfert, stepson Kenneth Honingford and their families. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas and his stepson Curtis.
