Ben DeVries passed away March 24, 2023 unexpectedly. He was born on November 17, 1977 and grew up in Minneapolis. In 2000 he drove out west to San Francisco in search of tech gold and never left, joining Apple as a Mac QA Engineer and later successfully launching the iPhone in over 100 countries. Ben loved traveling the world as well as spending a lot of time in his neighborhood the Castro befriending strangers and generously helping others.
He is survived by his mother and father, Susan DeVries and Michael Earhart, partner Pang, brothers and sister David, Alex, and Mari, stepmothers Candy, Chris, and Margie, and stepbrother David and stepsister Katie.
