September 12, 1933 – February 23, 2013
David passed away peacefully early on a sunny Saturday morning after a longtime battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 79. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Jacqueline; his five children, Darryl, Janice, Darren, Janet and husband Gordon Woo, and Darwin and husband Terry Hill; his three grandchildren, Aaron Choy, Ethan Choy and Ryan Woo; his two sisters, Mae Choy and June Wong and her husband Gary; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
For many years, Dave and Jackie owned and operated businesses in the North Beach and Downtown neighborhoods in his hometown of San Francisco. Dave enjoyed photography, gardening, music, fishing, vacationing with his family, and watching the 49ers play football on TV.
Contributions in David's memory may be made to the San Francisco Chinatown YMCA or Cumberland Presbyterian Chinese Church of San Francisco.
