Edmund K.C. Wong

Edmund K. C. Wong was born on January 29, 1928, in Honolulu, HI. He was the 13th son of Buck Kam Wong and Yuk Quan Chun. Beloved husband to Mary Jane; devoted father to Sheila Buchwald; dear father-in-law to Jon Buchwald. Passed away on March 4, 2014 in San Francisco at aged 86. Mr. Wong was a member in many organizations throughout his career and served as president of the YWCA Terpsichorean Club of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Chinese American Citizens League of Santa Clara County, California.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT DIRECTIONS TO THE FUNERAL HOME

Please be advised that the Annual Saint Patrick's Day Parade will take place beginning at 11AM, Saturday, March 15, beginning at the east end of Market Street and continuing to Civic Center. This means that all major routes coming from the south will be unavailable.

We suggest that if you are coming from the south, that you take Highway 280 and exit at 19th Avenue just north of Colma; travel to Geary Blvd; turn right on Geary, traveling east to the downtown area. Once you have crossed Van Ness Avenue, travel another two blocks, turn left on Larkin Street and another left at Sutter Street to get to the funeral home.

If you are coming from the East Bay over the Oakland Bay Bridge, it is suggested that you take the Golden Gate Bridge exit to avoid the closed streets.
