Frances A Mahoney

At rest on December 12, 2013, at the age of 92 years. Native of Oakland and resident of San Francisco for over 70 years. Preceded in death by husband John Mahoney; parents Mary and Atillio Ottonello; brother and sister-in-law Edward A. and Mary Ottonello; and sister-in-law and husband Frances and William Pavloff. Survived by son and daughter-in-law John Mahoney and Lynda Cole; grandchildren Michael, Maria, and Matthew Mahoney; niece Donna Higgins and husband Robert Higgins; nephew Edward A. Ottonello, Jr., and wife Christine Ottonello; nephew Daniel Pavloff; and great nieces and nephews Emma Higgins, Christine Pavloff, Robert Higgins, and Alex Pavloff.

Proud Italian-American frequently seen in North Beach striking up conversations in Italian with friends and strangers alike; New Orleans jazz aficionado; Pedro player extraordinaire; long-time member of St. Stephen's Parish and Women's Guild; and dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Society, American Cancer Society, and numerous Catholic and other charities.

Frances' family extends its heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Natividad Samia and Rosario Dungo of All Day Homecare for their compassionate care and also to Dr. Rebecca Conant of UCSF's Housecalls practice for her in-home visits and attention to Frances' well being.

There will be a recitation of the Rosary on Tuesday, December 17th, 7pm at Halsted N. Gray – Carew & English, 1123 Sutter St. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 10:30am at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
