I was sad to hear of Carol’s passing but happy for her and others for her great life. I was fortunate to work daily with Carol at Edison. Her title was my assistant but her real role was my mentor. Carol’s values and work ethic were inspirational. She brought order to chaos and made sure we did things the right way. We spent a lot of time talking about family. She was so proud of her kids and the wonderful people they had become. It was great working with her. 

There's a huge hole in my heart with Carol's passing. I have lost a walking partner, a confidant, a counselor, a very best friend. We shared our cares, prayers and views of the world (especially politics) over Starbucks after our walks with her dog(s).  That's where I learned to appreciate her special charity--rescued older dogs. I was honored to be with her and her family at the end.

I have such fond memories of growing up on Highpine Street.  We had such great neighbors, everyone looked after each other…we trusted our neighbors.  The barbecues, birthday parties, our annual 4th of July block party.  Carol lived across the street and was a wonderful friend to my Mom, Helen.  I received a Christmas card from Carol every year, regardless of how far away we were.  I will miss those annual cards.  RIP, dear neighbor…give my parents a big hug. TALK ABOUT BEING CLOSE COUSINS CAROL, AND I WERE BORN 86 YEARS AGO EXACTLY ONE MONTH, AND ONE DAY APART.  NATURALLY AS CHILDREN I REMEMBER PLAYING "KID GAMES" WHEN MY BROTHER AND I WOULD COME TO WHITINSVILLE  TO VISIT MY GRANDMOTHER.  THOSE WERE GOOD, AND MEMORABLE TIMES. AS WE MATURED , AND TIMES PASSED WE WENT OUR SEPARATE WAYS TO BUILD NEW LIVES, AND CAREERS. THEN ABOUT 25 YEARS AGO CAROL CAME BACK TO NEW ENGLAND TO VISIT FAMILY, AND FRIENDS.  AS PART OF HER TRIP SHE CAME TO VISIT US IN OUR RECENTLY BUILT NEW HOME ON LONG LAKE  IN BRIDGTON, MAINE.  KNOWING THAT CAROL LIKED TO CANOE WITH HER FATHER I INVITED HER FOR A LONG CANOE RIDE TO ONE END OF THE LAKE WHERE WE HAD DELIGHTFUL LUNCH, AND SHARED STORIES. THEN IT WAS LONG, AND A BIT ROUGH RIDE FOR A CANOE BACK HOME.  HOWEVER, I KNOW CAROL THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT AS SHE OFTEN MENTIONED IT WHEN WE EXCHANGED CHRISTMAS CARDS.  HER CARDS WERE  CHERISHED AS SHE HAD THE MOST IMPRESSIVE CURSIVE HANDWRITING  OF ANYONE I HAVE EVER KNOWN.
ALTHOUGH I CANNOT ATTEND IN PERSON I WILL BE THERE IN SPIRIT.  MAY OUR MEMORIES NEVER FADE.  REST IN PEACE COUSIN CAROL.  MY DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO CAROL'S LOVING FAMILY.

So sorry for your loss.  We have been friends from high school.  We always kept in touch via email and Christmas cards.
I moved to Arizona for 20  years and returned to California  4 years ago and we were always going to get together for lunch or dinner but we never made it.  My loss.  I won't be able to attend the services because we don't drive too far from home anymore, but thank you for letting me know.  God Bless You and her family.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of my very dearest cousin
Carol. Our times together were too few. 
My first sad news growing up was that Carol would be moving to
California with her mom and dad. Our very early years of playing
Together on Highland Street in Massachusetts would be ending.
I cried as I lost one of my best playmates.
Today my eyes are filled with tears as I have lost a very dear and 
Special cousin that I will always hold in my heart.
Even though our times together were much too few, we did in later
Years share some truly great moments together.
My deepest sympathies go out to all of Carol’s beautiful family.

I AM SORRY TO LEARN OF MY COUSIN CAROL PASSING. I DID NOT KNOW ANY OF CAROLS REMAINING FAMILY MEMBERS. I AM 83 YEAES OLD AND REMEMBER CAROL AS KIDS AND FATHER JOE AND MOM MAE CAROL WOULD STAND ON THE HILL, AND LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS AN ANGEL ,AS SHE WAS VERY WHITE AS A LITTLE GIRL.  NOW SHE IS A REAL ANGEL IN HEAVEN.     LOVE YOU ALL COUSIN DICKIE
