January 10, 1919 – August 6, 2013
Warren Hill Yetter passed away at his home on August 6, 2013 at 94 years of age.
He worked for Aerojet General for more than 30 years and then finished his career with Bechtel
Corporation.
He was an active member of the community throughout his 61 years in San Marino,
participating in Indian Guides and the Father’s Show, serving as a deacon at San Marino
Community Church, as secretary of the City Club and San Marino Rotary and as a member of
the Board of Directors of the Hill Harbison House. He spent time in his retirement years
volunteering at his alma mater, Occidental College, assisting at City Hall and participating in
other projects around town. He also enjoyed playing golf but more for the friendships formed
than for the love of the game.
He was preceded in death in 2011 by his wife of 68 years, Rosemary. He leaves behind his
daughter Karen of Irvine CA, his son David and daughter-in-law Ruthie of Livingston TX, his
grandchildren, John Christopher Engelhardt, Julie Ann Collins, and Timothy David Yetter and 12
great grandchildren.
He was a wonderful man, whom we all respected and loved dearly. We are so grateful that he
was, and always will be, our Dad and “Pipi”, as his grandchildren and great grandchildren called
him. We will miss him but each of us will always carry fond memories of him in our hearts.
