

Alan was born on October 23, 1954 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Leon and Kikue Pollard.
He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1972. Alan worked at the United States Postal Service for 26 years. His true passion was playing his violin in many orchestras and performing with his brothers. Alan was also an athlete, who loved biking and long distance running. In his later years, Alan was part of walking clubs. He enjoyed hiking the outdoors with his wife Janny.
Alan is survived by his wife Janny Trieu Pollard; daughter Jennifer May-Ling Schwab; son-in-law Brian Christopher Schwab and granddaughters Emma Kikue Schwab and Addison Kiana Schwab. He is also survived by his brothers Barry Kinya Pollard, Colby Noboru Pollard and sister Diana Naomi Hiura. In addition, his aunt/uncle, brother/sister in-laws, cousins, and nieces/nephews.
Alan inspired everyone around him with his financial wisdom, photography and being the family documentarian.
