

Alejandro Luis Alvarez passed away at home on February 13, 2016. He was surrounded by those he loved in the days preceding his passing. He fought a courageous battle with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. He was a warrior who battled strong until the end. Alejandro had cancer, but cancer never had him. He was a man of faith who lived every day of his life to the fullest and he was a great example of strength and determination to everyone around him.
Born in Mexico City, Mexico on September 28, 1962 to Bertha Alicia Alvarez and Alejandro Alvarez, Sr, Alejandro was brought to San Jose at the age of 2. He graduated from Camden High in 1980 and went on to earn a college degree. He worked at Brocade for 16 years.
He is predeceased by his angel mother Bertha Alicia Alvarez who, among other lessons, taught Alejandro to be a good and honorable man. She was surely there with open wings, waiting for him as he passed.
He leaves behind his eternal love and devoted wife; Kristen, 6 beautiful children; Venus, Marc Anthony, Alejandro Jr, Alexandra, Ashlie, and Nick, and 4 amazing grandchildren; Josiah, Donovan, Liam, and Desiree. He was very proud of his family.
He is also survived by his younger brothers; Alfonso, Jorge, Julio, and Mark who all made him very proud by the fathers and men they had become, numerous nieces & nephews he adored, and many wonderful family members and friends whom he cherished.
Alejandro has traded his warrior armor for wings and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose. Viewing: Thursday, February 25 from 9-4. Rosary: Thursday the 25 at 6pm. Services: Friday, February 26 at 11:00am.
