Andres Garcia Jr., affectionately known as "Big Andy," passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. Born in El Paso, Texas on December 19, 1943, Andres was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Big Andy was a man full of love, laughter, and a spirit that lit up every room he entered. Known for his quick wit and endless supply of jokes, he brought joy wherever he went. People naturally gravitated toward him—whether at family gatherings, community events, or camping trips, he was the heart of every moment.
Often called “MacGyver” for his incredible knack for fixing just about anything, Andy was always the guy who came prepared. Camping was one of his greatest joys, and he never showed up without extra supplies—just in case someone forgot something. That was who he was: generous, thoughtful, and always ready to help.
He gave so much of himself to everyone he met. His love for people knew no bounds, and there wasn't a soul he didn’t make feel welcome. Most of all, Andy loved his children deeply and unconditionally. He taught those around him not just how to live, but how to live with love, laughter, and kindness.
Rest in peace, Dad. Your legacy lives on in every smile you brought to our faces and every life you touched. We love you and miss you more than words can say.
