

Anthony Sanchez “Tony” Perales, who lived in Mountain View, California, passed away on January 3, 2026, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones, following an unexpected medical incident. Born on February 23, 1979, in San Jose, California, Anthony was loyal to his core and always kept his word. Even in life’s toughest seasons, he pushed through obstacles that might have caused others to give up. Quiet by nature, he carried a kind heart, deep understanding of others, and a genuine care for those around him. His unique, unforgettable sense of humor drew people in, and his smile made it impossible to not feel at ease. Open with his emotions, he never hesitated to share how he felt. Hard-working and determined, Anthony poured himself fully into everything he did, always prioritizing the people he loved. A true listener, he welcomed every story, no matter how big or small, and offered support and solutions whenever he could. Steady and dependable, he showed his love in quiet, meaningful ways, lifting burdens, remembering the smallest details, and giving those around him the space to rest. He took time to truly know the people he cared for, listening to their joys and struggles and learning from them every day. Anthony is survived by his love, Tamara Phillips; his son, Gabriel Sanchez; his parents, Nancy and Eddie Perales; his siblings, Monica Bell, Rosa Bell, Eddie Perales Jr. and his wife, Jessica Perales, and Tatiana Perales and her husband, David Acosta; his best friend, Carlos Renteria; along with many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Anthony will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
