Carl Edward Jones Jr.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Edward Jones Sr. and Clarendon Lanett “Cookie” Johnson; his oldest sister, Jacki Metcalf; and his beloved grandmothers, Evangelist Alease Scott and Bethene Waites. He is also joined by other dear loved ones who will welcome him.

He is survived by his three siblings: His eldest brother, Michael B. Johnson; his older sister, Monique A. Mayes; and his younger sister, Amelia L. Jones. Left to cherish his memory is his significant other of 10 years, Shay. Though Carl had no children to carry on his name, he was a devoted uncle and a beloved dog dad to companion Teddy Graham.

Carl was known for his playful smile and big hugs. Carl was an adventurer at heart, Carl enjoyed exploring beaches with his metal detector and searching for beautiful rocks. He also loved tinkering with bikes, collecting shoes and was a passionate foodie who loved southern home cooked food.

He was loved by the community that he lived in, as well as by his family and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
