Those were the days...we had so much fun at the Delta. Most trips we ended up stranded and had to get rescued, but that was all part of the charm.  It was a 28' Cabin Cruiser with a fly bridge.  28' boats are considered the smallest yachts, so that was fun to say that we had a yacht.  We also had to learn how to oil the teak and polish the chrome and stretch the canvas over the windows and getting those snaps done was hard work. Dad seemed to like that part best. He meticulously cared for that boat and every Sunday evening, we'd have to wait in the car for an extra hour while he was sure that he was leaving things just right.

i would like to write a few words about chuck  i enterduce myself as john  we use theword  jone banio and from there on it stuck i will also say i speak better usa english beacuse of him and will never foget that and another thing his smile and lauhter  wonderful and good friend and proud to call my brother  i know i will miss him dearly may he reset in peace

Sending our sincere condolences to the family.  Have many fond memories of Chuck, having met him and Val in Melaque.  Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Valerie, Melissa, and all who loved Chuck,

When a soul like Chuck’s takes wing beyond our sight, it is not an ending but a change of altitude. We who remain on the ground feel the sudden quiet, the empty space where his laughter, his service, and his steady presence once stood. Yet souls such as his do not vanish; they simply fly ahead, climbing into a clearer sky.

Chuck lived his eighty years the way true aviators live their flights with purpose, honor, and an unwavering sense of direction. From the sands where he served his country as a proud United States Marine, to the long days of generosity he poured into the Tokay Rotary Club, he carried within him a compass set firmly toward service. Those who crossed his path knew the gentle strength behind his kindness, the way he lifted others simply by being himself.

He leaves behind more than memories. He leaves a legacy of devotion visible in the love he shared with Valerie, in the pride he held for you and Melissa, and in the bright echoes of his spirit carried forward by Matias, Samia, Nicole, and Cassidy. He leaves a constellation of family: Robert, Jean, Margaret, Della, and Connie each carrying a piece of his light. And he now joins Terry, whose presence he surely recognized the moment the veil grew thin.

The bonds of love do not depend on bodies or distance. Real connection is a flight path carved soul to soul, and it does not end. Chuck has simply slipped into a new sky, one where the limits we know here no longer apply.

May you feel him near in the quiet moments steadfast, smiling, still guiding by example. And may you find comfort in knowing that a life lived with such heart never truly leaves this world; it continues through every life it touched.
