Cong Van Nguyen

Cong Van Nguyen aka Nguyễn Văn Công passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of January 10, 2024. He was 80 years old.

Born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, he was the son to Nguyễn Văn Trương and Nguyễn Thị Loan. He graduated from Saigon University of Law in 1974. He fled to the US with his family in 1975, settling in New York City before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990. He strongly believed in the value of hard work and education and established himself as a highly respected businessman and prominent leader in the Vietnamese community. He will be dearly missed by everyone he knew.

He is survived by his 6 children – Tâm, Tuấn, Thành, Thi, Kimmy & Tim, and 7 granddaughters – Jennifer, Jeanette, Kaila, Lana, Emma, Callyn & Avery.

Visitation will be held in the Sunshine Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park (300 Curtner Ave, San Jose) on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10am-7pm, with main service (prayers & speeches) from 3-5pm. Additional visitation will be held on Friday February 2, 2024 from 9-11am, followed by 1130am witness cremation.

All expressions of sympathy, including flowers via Cittis Florist, honorary donations to a favorite charity, and cards are welcome.
