Corazon De Jesus Collantes passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 5, 2026. She was 89 years old, born on May 4, 1936, in Tambo, Lipa City, Philippines. She was lovingly known as “Mommy Cora” to her family and close friends. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for Pat, her husband of 65 years, their two children and their spouses and her three grandchildren.
Mommy Cora's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. She was gifted with a beautiful voice and ever since she was a young child, she praised God in the church choir. In addition, she loved to cook for family and friends. Her delicacies were legendary to all who tasted them, particularly her kare-kare, kaldereta, menudo, pancit bihon and leche flan.
She is survived by her loving husband Pat, their son Pat Jr. and his wife Ginna Marisse (Abella), daughter Gelen and her husband Edwin Villanueva; her grandchildren Vince Patrick and his wife Vina Eliza (Nabor), Chynna Christine, Nathan; and her great granddaughter Raina Valentine.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park’s, Drawing Room Chapel, located at 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125.
A "Celebration of Mommy Cora’s Life" will follow at 10:45 a.m., concluding with the interment as we gather to lay our beloved Mommy Cora to rest.
