Cindy was born and raised in San Jose, California. She was the eldest daughter of the late Cruz and Ofelia Gomez and big sister to Reuben (Liz) and Sonia (Roger Martinez). Married for over 30 years to her late husband, John Moreno Jr., they raised four children, Johne’e (Juan Ramos), Lisa (Greg Edmond), Serena (TJ Gryziec), and Johnnie. Cindy worked for over 25 years at Stanford University and briefly served as a union representative. A dedicated Christian, Cindy and John were members of Couples for Christ and later Cindy would become a soldier of The Salvation Army Church. One of Cindy’s greatest joys in life was becoming a Gam-ma to “the cuteness” Marishka Jane. A beloved mother, sister, aunt, God mother, grandma (Reyette, Memo, Juan, Dominique), and friend, she will be deeply and profoundly missed.
