Dennis was the beloved son of Candido Haro Haro and Carmella Joan Haro. He was a devoted brother to Richard John Haro and sister-in-law Karen Jean Haro. Dennis was also a cherished uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, and a proud godfather to Dana Orlando. He attended James Lick High School and went on to build a successful career as an Installation and Repair Technician, affectionately known as the “Phone Man.”
Dennis's life was enriched by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Mardell Haro; his children, Scot John Haro and Melissa Rose Embry; and his cherished granddaughters, Ashlyn Rose Haro and Eris Rose Embry. Dennis also leaves behind his loyal companion, his dog Rosie, who brought him great joy.
Known for his love of classic cars, science fiction, camping, history, and gardening, Dennis had a wide range of interests that reflected his curious and adventurous spirit. He was full of arcane information and loved sharing his knowledge with others. His sarcastic humor, and energetic personality made him unforgettable. Dennis was analytical and reliable, always speaking passionately and debating with vigor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lima Family Erickson, 710 Willow Street, San Jose, followed by a reception at The Drying Shed, 402 Toyon Avenue, San Jose. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Dennis's memory.
Dennis Keith Haro will be remembered for his loud and passionate voice, his love of learning, and his knack for bringing humor and joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
