Dennis Paul Perez

Dennis Paul Perez, a generous heart with a sharp wit and a passion for golf, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, in San Jose, California, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 77.

Born in Sunnyvale, California, on September 3, 1947, Dennis built a life defined by kindness, laughter, and loyalty. He worked for many years in real estate, where his charisma, honesty, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on clients and colleagues alike.

Dennis was a man who could make you laugh when you least expected it—and somehow always knew when you needed it most. He was a giver by nature, offering his time, his wisdom, and his support to family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to cross his path.

He is survived by his beloved partner, Sandy Adams; his daughter Denise Smith and son-in-law Jayme Smith; his stepchildren Nicole Celestre and Tim Cook; his cherished grandchildren; his nieces Lindsay Welch and Kelly Rodrigues; and his sister, Phyllis Gutierrez. His family—along with countless friends—will deeply miss his warmth, humor, and steady presence.

Whether teeing off on the golf course or sharing a meal with loved ones, Dennis approached life with heart. His spirit lives on in every laugh he inspired, every kind gesture he offered, and every life he touched.

Funeral services will be held at Willow Glen Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17th at 11am with a reception to follow at Three Flames restaurant from 1-4pm.
