Edith Erna Monette (née Wool), 88, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024, in San Jose, CA. Born on June 15, 1935 in the village of Machenbach, Germany, she lived on or near U.S. Air Force Bases in Germany, Southern California, Delaware, and Japan before settling in San Jose. She is survived by her son Mike of San Jose, California, granddaughter Shannon McCaulley (Malachi) and great grandchildren Finley and Odin of Alexandria, Virginia. She also leaves behind beloved cousins, nieces and nephews in the United States and Germany. Edie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, son Raymond, and sister Lore Dossung. A memorial service will be held on February 3, 2024 at Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose at 11 am. Please join us in honoring the life of Edith Erna Monette.
