Ellen E. Hand Santomauro

Sept. 9th, 1960 – July 22nd 2015

Resident of San Jose

Ellen passed on the morning of July 22nd with all of her loving family members at her side. She is survived by her two beloved sons Ryan 24, and Kyle 22, father of her boys and friend Tony Santomauro, her twin brother Frank Hand, sister Katie Hand Kenworthy, niece Megan Kenworthy, nephew Ross Kenworthy, and numerous loving cousins.

Ellen graduated from San Diego State in 1982 and went on to work in the technology field focusing on Human Resources and Benefits for many years. She was always very customer service oriented, and liked helping people. Most recently she worked at Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS helping people work through and resolve real estate contracts.

As an active member of San Jose, much of Ellens’ free time was devoted to volunteering with the Willow Glen neighborhood association, the Humane Society, Northern California Friends of Faire, and numerous other activities. Above all Ellen was the proud mother of two sons who were her world.

Ellen was truly a special person who had a gift to bring out the best in people, with love and laughter; she could brighten anyone who interacted with her. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends, from work to the playa, faires’, and neighborhood events.

A service will be held at 11 am on Friday the 14th of August at St. Christopher Church, 1576 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA. 95125. Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Los Altos.
