Evelyn Yates

Evelyn Yates, a radiant soul whose warmth and kindness illuminated the lives of all who knew her, peacefully passed away on November 18, 2024.

Born on July 21, 1946 in Bakersfield, CA, Evelyn was a woman of extraordinary grace and strength. She possessed a heart full of love and a spirit that was both gentle and resilient. Her infectious laughter and unwavering optimism were a source of joy to those around her.

Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend who cherished her family deeply. She was a talented cook and enjoyed sharing her ambrosia and other special dishes at many parties over the years. She dedicated her life to helping people including her career in healthcare.

Evelyn's legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert, daughter Jennifer, sons Jason and Jeffrey; grandchildren, Yzabella, Mindi, Fiona and Julian.

A viewing and rosary celebrating Evelyn's life will be held on December 3, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose. On December 4, 1:30 PM a mass at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in Morgan Hill, followed immediately by her burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose.
