On February 18th, 2021, Gary K. Lester passed away peacefully. Gary was a devoted husband and loving stepfather. He passed away at the young age of 55. Gary was born on February 22, 1965 in Long Beach, California. He grew up in the San Jose area where he attended high school and college.
He studied law at San Jose State University and graduated with a degree in business administration. His gift in creativity and his love for natural stone and rock work, along with his ability to work with natural grains of wood earned him a reputation in flooring which allowed him a rewarding and successful career in the Bay Area for the past 29 years.
Gary also had a successful photography business. His photographs were stunning and breathtaking; each one of them telling you a story. They were beautifully illustrated and photographed with a professional eye that captured every detail. Another hobby that he poured his passion into was writing and composing music. His music was genius and truly amazing and is still available on iTunes today. He had so much natural talent. He was a man of great worth and purpose; a person who loved life as a true artist. He also enjoyed sports, a good hike and going on new adventures. He enjoyed baseball and played during both high school and college.
Gary leaves behind his lovely and devoted wife Donna Lester, four lovely adult stepchildren and 6 adorable grandchildren. He is survived by his loving mother Karen, his amazing stepfather Curtis, his identical twin brother Creg, his sweet sister-in-law Kathy, his younger brother Randy, and his very smart and special nephew Matthew.
Gary will be missed deeply, but never forgotten by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He deeply respected his Christian values. He openly loved the Lord and his favorite prayer was the Lord's Prayer. We know that there are no mistakes when it comes to the Lord’s plan. We thank God for the life he gave to Gary and look forward to seeing him again in the presence of The Lord Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
