Glen Franklin Patton passed away on October 29, 2019 at the young age of 93. Born in Montibello, CA on May 18, 1926 Glen and his wife, Loveta, who passed away on December 25, 2017, made San Jose their home for almost 70 years. Glen is a US Navy veteran, having proudly served his country during World War II. Glen was a true fighter, having overcome many obstacles in his lifetime.
Glen and Loveta were married on August 20, 1949 and leave four children, Brian E. Patton, Verdon L. Patton, Glenda Patton Inskeep, and Trent N. Patton. They also leave 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Glen belonged to the Carpenter’s Local 316 and worked all over San Jose and California until July 1978 when he suffered a massive stroke and had to retire. Never one to be slowed down, Glen lived a vibrant life after the stroke, always enjoying outings with his family and worshiping at his home church.
Glen and Loveta attended Hope Tabernacle for many years, serving in several different roles. Glen loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and lead others by example, not by lectures. In addition, he also preached faithfully at St James Park every Sunday afternoon in San Jose because he did not want anyone to die, not having had the chance to know and love the God he served so faithfully.
We will all miss him dearly.
