Gloria M. Tassi

May 30, 1926 - November 11, 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria Tassi announces her passing on November 11, 2017 at the age of 91. Gloria was born in Hibbing, MN. At the age of 4, she moved to San Jose, where she met the love of her life, Joseph Tassi. They married in 1951 and celebrated 60 years of marriage before Joe's passing in 2012. Gloria is survived by her two sons Gary (Mary Lynn) and Jeff (Shannon). She was the proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren; Adam (Jennifer), Andrea (Kenny), Connor, Tyler, and Jeffrey (Dawn). Gloria was also great grandmother to four: Karma, Madilyn, Edison, and Siena. She was aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Gloria was an alumna of Campbell High School and Cambrian Grammar School, where she met her six life-long friends, affectionately known as "the girls." She spent many years as a homemaker; she loved cooking for family and was renowned throughout the county for her Christmas cookies.

Our family would like to thank Kalisi (Lisa) Vehikite, who looked after our parents for the last 10 years with care and devotion.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 27th, at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 1576 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, with interment following at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.
