Grace Marie Rocco

1928-2024

Energetic, generous, and joyful, all who knew Grace benefitted from these gifts. Blessed with an impressive amount of energy and stamina she in turn blessed those she knew with her great smile, sense of humor and the bounty from her gardening, cooking, and baking. She dedicated her life to caring for others.

Born in the province of Avellino, Italy and raised in western Pennsylvania, Grace met and married the love of her life, Anthony, before moving out west to San Jose in the late 1950’s.

Grace credited her faith in Jesus as the strength which gave her the ability to “take life as it comes” and persevere through challenges.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph and Angela, treasured husband, Anthony, and dear brother Ralph.

Her life’s example is the legacy she leaves for the family who mourn her passing: daughters Constance and Angela, sons-in-law Jack and John, grandchildren Dianna and Michael,

great-grandchildren Maria and husband Alex, Michael and wife Sara, Samantha and Jason;

great-great grandchildren Dominic, Ellie Grace and Taylor. Also feeling her loss are sisters-in-law Vera and Alix-Gay, brother Nick, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Oak Hill Funeral Home, San Jose. Private family burial to be held the previous day. In lieu of flowers please consider donating in Grace’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society.
