Our beloved Hermando Turgano Jimeno went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2021 at the young age of 59. Funeral service will be held on March 22, 2021 at the Grace Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park. Viewing will take place from 1-2PM followed by a memorial service from 2-3PM.
Hermando was born on December 13, 1961 in Sevilla, Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur. He attended St. Augustine’s School in Tagudin, Ilocos Sur during his elementary years and completed high school at Pines National High School in Baguio City. He opted not to proceed further in school, and jokingly said that college “cannot handle” his brain.
Hermando was lovingly called “Arman” by his wife and “Galado” by family and friends. Hermando was a loving husband to his beloved wife, Tess; a caring and doting father to his daughter, Destiny Jirah; a big-hearted brother to his siblings; and a warm, joyous, and giving person to his family members and everyone he knew. He was well-known for bringing unending smile and laughter to every person he interacted with—there was never a dull moment whenever he was around. The love and joy he brought into this world and everyone’s hearts are dearly missed.
As family and friends reminisce and miss Hermando’s presence, heaven is celebrating his arrival and enjoying the same happiness that he brought us on earth. John 10:27-28 says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” We rest assured knowing that Hermando has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Hermando always wants everyone to smile and be happy, so we should celebrate his life and new home by shouting a cheer that he once upon a time spearheaded, “Ik-kam!” (To the fullest!)
“Well done, good and faithful servant!” (Matthew 25:21) ‘Til we meet again.
