Ignacia Villaloz Anchondo, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at El Camino Hospital in Los Gatos, following a courageous and lengthy battle with diabetes, renal failure, and lung fibrosis. Born August 1, 1933, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, she was the daughter of Pedro Villaloz and Abelina Rangel.
A woman of profound resilience and simplicity, Ignacia migrated to the United States sixty years ago to provide for her mother, siblings, and daughter. Her early years in the U.S. were defined by hard work in the fields of California and Texas. She eventually settled in San Jose, California, where she met and married her husband, Luis V. Anchondo.
She is survived by her two daughters, Maria del Rosario Medina and Maria Elena Magallon; her grandchildren, Emily M. Magallon and Oswaldo "Papash" Magallon; and the many lives she touched through her strength and devotion.
