

Indalecio Pérez (74) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at his home in San Jose, California. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Guadalupe Perez, and three devoted daughters, Julietta Perez, Ylianna Perez-Guerrero and Erika Avalos. He is also survived by his son-in-laws, Jaime Guerrero and Dario Avalos, and seven admiring grandchildren. Indalecio was born in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico on July 7, 1941, to Julieta and Indalecio Perez. He is the eldest of nine children. He is survived by three brothers, Enrique Perez, Domingo Perez and Cecilio Perez, and two sisters, Argentina Flores and Luz Elva Perez. He is pre-deceased by his parents, brother George Luis Perez and sisters Julieta Aide Perez and Maria Guadalupe Perez.
Indalecio spent his childhood years in Mexico with his close knit family. In 1963, he left his family home to find seasonal work in San Jose. He met his wife in San Jose in 1965. He worked for Del Monte Foods for 40 years, starting as a cannery worker and retiring as a supervisor in 2006. Throughout his life, Indalecio was an avid sports fan and diligently attended his daughters' and grandchildren's sporting events. His true love was basketball, counting himself a true Warriors fan and a fan of Mexico’s national basketball team.
He was loved by all who knew him and leaves behind a multitude of friends in San Jose, Del Rio, Texas and Acuña,Coahuila, Mexico.
The rosary service will be Wednesday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home. A mass is scheduled for Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Julie's Parish in San Jose, followed by the burial service at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
