

Janice Gwen Rockwell, 80, of San Jose, CA. passed away March 31st, 2018 after a lengthy battle with interstitial lung disease. Jan Rockwell was the perfect daughter of Winnifred and Delbert Skow and loving wife of Donald Rockwell. She graduated from San Jose State University receiving the Nursing Student of the Year Award and decided she wanted to be the ultimate caregiver not only to her family but also the community. As a nurse, she worked at El Camino and Good Samaritan Hospitals and then at the Visiting Nurses Association before her retirement. Her memory will live on in her children Keith and Karen Rockwell (San Jose, Ca) David and Lizann Rockwell (Star, Idaho), Connie and Corey Rolin (San Jose, Ca). Along with her grandchildren Rebecca, Linsey, Robert, Kyle (San Jose, Ca); Adam, Amanda, Kelly (San Jose, Ca); Amber, Ashley, Lea (Star, Idaho) and one great-grandson Kiah (San Jose, Ca). She was proud to see her dream of sending her grandchildren to college come true. Jan loved sewing, quilting, baking, puzzles, and reading. As an avid sports fan, she rooted for the Warriors in basketball, the A’s in baseball, and the San Jose Earthquakes in soccer. Out of everything, she cherished spending time with family the most. She will be greatly missed by numerous extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2:00 pm, 6856 Bret Harte Drive, San Jose, California 95120.
